Ryan and I have been working hard to prepare our property for our yurt. This past weekend, we completed our yurt platform. We chose to us tung & groove decking for our flooring as opposed to a plywood floor. We went with this option for two reasons.
1. This flooring option can serve as the yurts finished flooring.
2. Aesthetics – It looks beautiful once the floor is completed and stained.
The weather was definitely against us during this yurt platform construction. We had a whole day of rain that stopped us, and then got a very late start on our final building day. There were moments when I was doubting our building skills a lot during this process, but Ryan and I were able to work out each problem as it showed up along the way.
